General Information

Why should I attend?

If you are interested in the success of charter schools and the choice they give students in Florida, you should attend. Sessions are targeted at authorizers, administrators, educators, and charter school stakeholders.

When and where will the conference be held?

This year's conference is scheduled for November 1-3, 2017, in Daytona Beach, Florida, at the Ocean Center Convention Center.

How much does registration cost and what is the deadline?

If you register by October 13, 2017, the registration cost is $220 per attendee. After that date you will need to register on-site at the higher rate of $295 per attendee.

What should I wear?

The Florida Charter School Conference is a professional development opportunity. Business casual is appropriate.

West Lot has 350 spaces
South Lot has 329 spaces
Handicap parking is available in the following areas:
• Garage – A total of 31 spaces spread between both North East and South West corners on each level next to the elevators.
• West Lot – A total of 8 spaces in the South East corner.
• South Lot – A total of 8 spaces in the North East corner.
We also have Patron Services available during most events that transport those who have difficulty walking to the building entrance.

Conference Check In

When you arrive, please check in at the registration desk located in the Concourse of the conference center to pick up your badge, conference bag and program.

Stop by the FCSC Information Desk in the Concourse of the conference center if you have questions, concerns, or Lost & Found items during the conference.

Conference Etiquette

Please be respectful of your fellow attendees and presenters by turning your cellular devices to silent or off before entering session rooms.
Please refrain from holding individual conversations during presentations, as they make it difficult to hear the presenter.
The building is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is permitted outside the building.

Online Presentation Evaluations

Please use your phone to scan the QR code for the breakout session to submit your evaluation of the presenation during that time slot. If you do not already have a QR code scanner app, please visit your phone's app store to download one.

Inservice Credit

All Florida school districts have procedures in place to assist you in earning inservice credits towards the renewal of your FDOE teaching certificate. Please contact your district's staff development director to determine your district's procedure. Please visit FDOE's website to locate the contact person for your district.
