Inlet Grove Community High School
We are a conversion charter school whose major objective is to provide students with a college-ready high school diploma and preparation for state or nationally recognized industry certification in a high-skill career area. Inlet Grove has published a book title: Many people are of the belief that teenagers nowadays are somewhat lacking in ambition and values. Dr. Emma Banks’ book, Teen Reflections on Education, disproves this belief through a collection of essays written by a diverse group of teenagers. Written by high school students, the essays in this compilation offer readers a unique look into the minds of the teens. The essays bear the students’ reflections on the importance of education and the significance of its role in their lives. The compositions included in the book are as diverse as the writers themselves – each piece looks into different topics such as the inspiration experiences of the students’ family member or friend in their educational struggles, the students’ opinion on the US educational system and how it compares to the systems in other countries, and the students’ suggestions for the improvement of education in the United States.
